The advantages of a PVC floor
Just like any other type of flooring, PVC floors also have advantages and reasons to choose this type of floor. In order to offer you a little more overview of this, we have listed and highlighted some important advantages. It's that easy, right?!
1. Combine with underfloor heating
One of the bigger advantages of a PVC floor, whether this is a slab of PVC or a click PVC floor, is that these types of floors go extremely well with underfloor heating. This has to do with the fact that these floors are relatively thin and have a low heat resistance. PVC floors allow the heat generated by the underfloor heating to pass through well and is extremely strong in conducting this heat. In the long run, this ensures that less heating is required to get heat into the room in question. Earlier we also wrote about this the blog "PVC floors and underfloor heating does that go together? ".
2. Can be used in any room in the house
In addition to the fact that PVC floors can be combined well with underfloor heating, these floors can also be used in almost any room in the house. This has to do with the fact that these floors are very resistant to water, in contrast to, for example, a laminate floor. Are you looking for a floor that you can use in the living room as well as in the kitchen or toilet? Then PVC floors are extremely suitable for this!
3. Huge choice of colors and shapes
PVC floors have been extremely popular in recent years and for this reason the many brands that offer these floors have not been idle in the development of these floors. This has created an enormously wide range of possibilities in the field of colors, appearances and patterns. For example, there are PVC floors with a wood look, but also PVC floors with a concrete look or PVC floors in black. In addition to the colors, as mentioned, there is also a lot possible in the field of patterns. For example, you could think of a PVC floor with straight strips, but also a herringbone PVC floor, whalebone PVC floor or a Hungarian point PVC floor. There really is something for everyone!

Different types of PVC floors
If you choose a PVC floor, you can choose from a glueable adhesive PVC strip or a PVC strip with a click connection. But which one should you choose? The biggest difference can actually be found above. A click PVC floor therefore has a click connection on the floorboards, so you can lay it just as easily as laminate in combination with a suitable subfloor. This is slightly different with adhesive PVC strips. Adhesive PVC or also called glueable PVC floors or dryback PVC must be completely glued to the substrate. This makes laying these floors a bit more complicated than installing a click PVC floor. A slab of PVC floor must be laid on an extremely even surface. Any unevenness that may be present in the substrate will be reflected in the slab of PVC floorboards as they are produced extremely thinly. To achieve this, laying is almost always chosen to level the surface. Leveling the surface is a difficult job and that is why it is regularly chosen to have a slab PVC floor installed by a professional.
Relatively easy to install with click PVC floors
A Click PVC floor, on the other hand, is relatively easy to install yourself. The method of laying such a floor is basically equal to the placement of laminate. These floors are equipped with a click connection so that you can easily click the rigid click PVC floor together. Very important with these floors is that a suitable subfloor with sufficient pressure resistance (kPa value) is used. Basically, click PVC floors often consist of heavy material such as stone minerals. These relatively heavy floorboards need sufficient support to remain stable.
High quality PVC flooring
Both types of PVC floors are provided with a so-called wear layer as standard. The thickness of the wear layers vary from 0.35 - 0.55 - 0.75 mm. The thicker the wear layer, the higher the quality and durability of your PVC floor. This wear layer makes PVC floors extremely suitable for intensive domestic, commercial and even industrial use! The degree of suitability of course depends on the thickness of the wear layer and quality of processing of the PVC floor. In addition, PVC floors are 100% water resistant! This makes a PVC floor extremely suitable for the kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Another big advantage of both floors is the low heat resistance! This low heat resistance ensures that PVC floors are very suitable for use in combination with underfloor heating. No reason not to choose a slab or click PVC floor!
The absolute runners in PVC floors
Of course, choosing a floor is an absolute matter of taste, but in recent times a considerable trend has emerged in the choice that is made in the field of PVC floors. For example, we see that only herringbone floors stand out far above the rest when it comes to popularity. One of these popular PVC floors is the Floer Untreated Orca. This floor has larger dimensions per plank and thus realizes a quieter surface. The crowds are often an obstacle for people to choose herringbone floors. In addition, we see many people choosing the Sense 905 Giant Herringbone and the Belakos Palazzo Herringbone XL 72.
