We will also give you some tips that relate to installing and maintaining a PVC floor.
PVC floors, which ones are there?
There are a number of different types of PVC flooring from which you can make a choice. You have different patterns. We offer PVC floors that can be glued but also that are laid by means of a click connection. There are advantages to both floors. The PVC floor must be glued directly to a surface that is even. Because the construction of this floor is low, the heat resistance is also very low. Adhesive PVC floors are therefore very good to use when you use underfloor heating.
A click PVC floor the parts are clicked together. The connection that the parts of the floor have with each other is incredibly strong. The click PVC floor must be placed in a floating way on a subfloor that is suitable for click PVC floors. This floor is also extremely suitable for laying over underfloor heating.
Both the glued PVC floor and the click PVC floor both have a collection that can be called unique. You can think of a herringbone PVC floor or tiles that are extra large. Often the PVC floors are not even distinguishable from floors that consist of real lamella parquet.
When can you walk on a PVC floor?
We are regularly asked how fast you can walk on a PVC floor. Over a glued PVC floor, but also over a click PVC floor, you can actually walk immediately. It may be that you are dealing with a floor that is placed on a self-adhesive subfloor. Even then you can actually walk on the floorboards immediately. Fortunately, you don't have to wait long to start using it right away. The pattern in which the floor will be laid does not matter very much either. Do you use a whalebone or a regular herringbone pattern? You can use it right away.
Place furniture on your newly laid floor. Is this possible?
We have just told you that you can actually walk directly over your newly laid PVC floor, but this also applies to placing the furniture. Can you do this right away? This depends on which PVC floor there is. If you use a slab of PVC floor, this floor must be rolled in its entirety after it has been laid.
By rolling the floor, you ensure that air bubbles that may be there are removed. The floorboards will then fully adhere to the surface on which it is glued. Are you going to roll your floor? Vacuum it thoroughly first! It would be a shame if you started rolling dirt or other things into your beautiful new floor.
Have you installed a click PVC floor? Even then you can place your furniture on the floor immediately. You have to remember that the surface is really completely flat. The click connection should not be unnecessarily loaded because there are unevenness. If you adhere to these requirements, you can obtain a warranty of between 15 and 35 years on these incredibly strong floors.
How do you keep the PVC floor beautiful for a long time?
To keep your floor beautiful for as long as possible, we recommend that you use felts under your furniture. Especially with chairs you quickly have the problem that they can cause scratches on your beautiful new floor. This is because chairs are often slid. Take the dining table chair. You slide it a lot of times a day unnoticed. With felts under the chair legs you protect your floor in a very good way and you are much less likely to suffer from scratches on your new floor.
