Do you want to get started with installing a new floor in your home or office? Then, in addition to the choice for the type of floor and the choice, it is also wise to take into account the type of laying pattern that the floor should receive. This so-called laying pattern has a huge influence on the appearance of the floor and the effect that the floor has on the space in which it will be located. We have already dived into the different laying patterns for floors especially for you and summarize them as clearly as possible for you in this blog. So nice!
Visgraat legpatroon
In the past, we only knew very small wooden herringbone slats on wooden floors. Nowadays we also see larger parts of herringbone in PVC, laminate and wood. For small spaces, herringbone is less suitable, the pattern only comes into its own with at least 3-4 lanes, so think of the living rooms, bedrooms, office floors and showrooms. In addition, herringbone floors have a bigger brother, namely Whalebone floors. These whalebone floors are available in both Whalebone PVC and Whalebone Laminate and are generally larger and more spacious than the average herringbone floor. Do you want to make the room where you lay the floor feel bigger than it is? Then go for the whalebone floor.
Hungarian point laying pattern
Hungarian point floors are basically very similar to herringbone floors, but if you look closely you will see that the Hungarian point are a kind of stretched diamond shapes and herringbone has the shape of rectangular strips. In addition, the Hungarian point opted for mitre connection of the floorboards where this is not the case with herringbone floors. However, Hungarian point is so far less popular than herringbone. At Solza.nl we offer the Hungarian point laying pattern in the brands vtwonen and Floorlife. A great opportunity to add a real eye-catcher to your home. Something that not everyone has at home yet.
Square / tile laying pattern
A slightly less special laying pattern, but no less interesting to choose is the square laying pattern, also known as a tile laying pattern. These PVC tiles, often in the size 60 x 60 cm are generally available in grey, anthracite and/or concrete look colours. This makes them very popular in offices, but also, for example, for bathrooms and the toilet. Do you want to go for an industrial look? Then these tiles are really the way to go!
Halfsteens verband legpatroon
A laying pattern that everyone may be familiar with is the half-stone bandage. You can see this laying pattern, for example, with a wall made of bricks, but also in floors. Think, for example, of extra wide laminate floors or wood parquet, here you also see this regularly. Always working with half and whole parts ensures an enormously tight result in the overall picture.
Laying through, also known as wild bandages
A final option in the range of laying patterns for floors is the so-called laying. In the world of decking, this is sometimes called a game bandage. Laying is often used with wooden parquet floors. In this way, one has less cutting loss by also using the small (residual) pieces again and again as a starting point and thus realizing a wild connection. However, our advice is not to apply pieces shorter than 40 cm in the floor, these often have the problem that they fall out.
